Introduction
A magazine specializing in model railroads that I found at a bookstore when I was in junior high school. As I read on, I came across a page that I will never forget.
It was an advertisement page for the Märklin Mini Club.
I was interested in models in the first place, but I was so impressed with their size that I fell in love with Z gauge.
After that, I gathered information about Z gauge, but I found that it was quite expensive and that only one German manufacturer manufactured it. It wasn’t very accessible and I was disappointed, but eventually I wanted to make it my hobby.
Meanwhile, domestic manufacturers have appeared, and expectations are rising significantly, but what I want is unlikely to be commercialized. But the invention has come to get what you want. Yes, the spread of 3D printing.
It may not work, but I was excited when I made the blueprints and made the diesel train I wanted. This experience made me trapped in the world of Z gauge using 3D printing.
From now on.
Well, I’ve been designing things in good condition, but there are of course challenges to be satisfied. I had a lot of troubles about how to make it, the material, the finish, and the finish, but I managed to enjoy it as a model. I hope to expand the world of Z gauge while interacting with people who have the same hobbies.
